The NBN Group, a home healthcare
services company, has appointed Betsy Mizia, RD, LDN, to the position of
Nutrition Manager. Betsy will be responsible for the execution of policy
and procedures for enteral and parenteral clients who are dependent on tubes or
lines for their nutrition support, and will serve as patient liaison in
hospital settings to assist in the transition of patients from hospital to
home. Experienced with both infants and adults, Betsy will also act as a
resource for the home care nurses, the physicians, and hospital discharge
planners. Previously, she was Clinical Nutrition Manager for NutrePletion
Resources in Bensalem, PA and brings 33 years of experience as a registered
dietitian to her new role. She is the author of a number of articles and research
studies in nutrition and is a member of ASPEN, the Academy of Nutrition
and Dietetics, and the National Kidney Foundation. She holds a B.S. in
Dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and served her internship at
Massachusetts General Hospital.
